Drilling fluids

During the drilling of the micropiles, a fluid is often used, whose function is to cool the pipe and the drilling tool (crown or tri crescent) in addition to cleaning the excavation by removing the debris that has been generated during the process.

Generally, two types are used:

Water, using a pump to remove the detritus.
Air, which requires a high power compressor to generate sufficient pressure to remove the detritus from the base of the hole.

The type of fluid to be used should be evaluated based on the characteristics of the terrain, to achieve optimum performance and guarantee the correct execution of the drilling.
